Aroma: Fennel has a very sweet anise-like,
slightly earthy, peppery aroma.

Extraction: The oil is obtained
through steam distillation of the seeds.

Benefits: Fennel was used in the
Middle Ages as protection from
witchcraft and malignant spirits.
Use when you feel psychologically
threatened, by diffusing it into the
air or putting a little mixed in a vegetable
oil on the solar-plexus Chakra. Fennel is
a mental stimulant. It helps clear up chest
congestion, bronchitis, and asthma.
Rheumatism and cellulite may also be reduced with fennel.

Blends: Fennel blends well with Geranium, Lavender, Rose, and Sandalwood.

Safety Precautions: Not to be used by epileptics. Avoid during pregnancy.
